Good news for those who would like to lose weight and manage their diet, all you need to do is to just have a nice sleep and that’s it. According to a recent American study sleep makes a "big difference" on the results of a diet.

Scientists at the University of Chicago found that when dieters had an eight hours of sleep, more than half of the weight they lost was fat. The result of the year-long study was published in the journal, Annals of Internal Medicine.

The volunteers, were placed on balanced diets with calories restricted to 90 per cent of what they normally needed were studied twice: once for 14 days in the laboratory with an 8.5-hour period of sleep and again for 14 days with only 5.5 hours of sleep. The volunteers had body mass indexes from 25 to 32.

It appears that the right hours of sleep can determine to a great extent whether one will have a healthy body weight.

As according to another research (published in journal SLEEP)it is important to sleep around 8 hours should you want to be in healthy body weight. The study, found that those teen who deprive themselves of sleep, end up eating more calories and snacks than those who slept eight hours or more a night.
